KITCHEN SUPPLIES AND DINING ITEMS This project looks to support the Kitchen supplies renewal for the houses of the children and youth of Ipoderac. The project looks to find donors to renew the kitchen supplies and dining articles for the use of 84 people in IPODERAC in which they are included 72 children, 6 educators and volunteers. IPODERAC has marked as one of its objectives the achievement to be self sustainable, currently, does it in a 60%, something that obliges them to seek exterior resource that can cover the 40% remainder. This project intends to cover therefore a series of needs that cannot be satisfied with that 60%. They are many the repairs, changes in infrastructures and improve in the installations that have been done in the last years, always seeking the continuous improvement in the quality of life of the children. This has done, nevertheless (along with the need to cover immediate expenses as light, water, gas etc.), that other series of needs in perishable goods could not have been covered as kitchen supplies and dining items. It has been already several years since the last changes in these items and it is time to replace them. Many houses only have one piece of fork and knife for each children and in some houses the lack of this for each member of a house suggest to wait for a companion to finish in order then to wash and to utilize its items. There are not deep dishes and extended for each children and many of them are quartered. There are not glasses neither cups for each one and in certain houses they share. In regards of the kitchen supplies, practically all the pots are dented, they do not have handlers and the possibility to tidy them completely no longer exists. Something alike happens to the frying pans and other kitchen instruments such as ladles, spades, spatulas, strainers, knives etc. The tablecloths also are found in bad conditions just as the placemats (several houses lack these and the ones that have them are deteriorated). It is also considered important to equip the houses with electrical appliances for first utility as they are blenders, irons, irons boards and if possible microwaves. The need of the kitchen supplies and dining articles are as follows: In dishes and cutlery: 96 deep dishes and extended, 96 cups and glasses, 96 dishes for dessert, 96 pairs of spoon, knife, holder and small spoon, 12 jars, 12 ladles (soups) and 12 spoons to serve, 12 large knives, 12 spades, 12 spatulas, 6 scissors, 6 beaters, 6 molcajetes, 6 can openers, 6 potatoes peelers, 24 fridge containers, 12 frying pans, 6 griddle (comales), 24 pans, 6 containers for sugar and milk, 6 cutting boards 6 kegs for fruit and store, 12 tablecloths and 96 placemats. In electronics: 6 blenders, 6 irons, 6 iron boards, 6 microwave. All the articles subsequently will be distributed in each of the 6 houses where 12 children, one educator and one volunteer will make use. Besides additional pieces have been considered for the possible breaks or another type of misfortune. The total amount needed in this project is approximately USD2,730
